Our Hours and Directions

Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, 8am - 4pm. We are located on the southwest corner of 7th and Alvarado Streets, diagonally across from MacArthur Park. We are a half-block south of the Alvarado-MacArthur Park Metro Red Line station. And we offer free validated parking at our parking lot one block east of the restaurant at 7th and West Lake Streets (make sure you get your validation ticket from the attendant).

The Langer Story

The story of Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant evokes classic American dream, with humble beginnings in 1947 at a 12-stool lunch counter founded by Al and Jean Langer. More than 60 years later, Langer's has become a local and international icon, famed for its legendary hot pastrami, friendly staff and expert service. It is operated today by Al and Jean's son, Norm, his wife Jeannette, and their daughter Trisha, at the same location (though much larger than the original tiny deli).

On the go and don't have time to stop in? Or need to pick up food to eat somewhere else? Langer's Curb Service is for you. Just call us at 213-483-8050 and we'll take your order right over the phone. Tell us your vehicle type and when you pull up in front of the restaurant on 7th Street (just east of Alvarado), we'll bring your order right out to you - it's as easy as that!

Curb Service is available during our regular business hours, 8am - 4pm Monday through Saturday. Always give us a few minutes to prepare your order - quality can't be rushed!
