February 9, 2017: World Famous

The Langer’s #19 is world famous, and for good reason. Created by Al Langer in 1947 with the opening of Langer’s Deli at 7th and Alvarado in Los Angeles – yes, nearly 70 years ago – this sandwich classic has ties to Al’s roots in the delis of Newark, NJ, but is unique with its unique double-baked rye and special-recipe hand-cut hot pastrami. You’ll see versions and tributes to the #19 everywhere – very much an honor – but when you want the real thing, there’s only one place: Langer’s Delicatessen-Restaurant. See you here for lunch.
