Cerritos College Talon Marks: Gordita Eateries: Langer’s Delicatessen

 In News

Rebecca Aguila, online editor for Cerritos College’s Talon Marks newspaper/website, recently paid a visit to Langer’s Delicatessen:

This isn’t a normal pastrami sandwich that is pre-packaged or shredded thinly; this is a sandwich a person must come in with a mighty appetite for a monstrous delight.

Pastrami sandwiches is something that are not very common in Los Angeles due to the popularity of bacon-wrapped hot dogs and street tacos. These sandwiches provide an experience outside of the typical spots that normal everyday people bring in.

The most popular item on their menu is the original #19 which is hand-cut hot pastrami with a thick layer of coleslaw in a Russian dressing. The Swiss cheese is then added on top of the meat.

It’s such a gorgeous sight to see when the cheese melts and acts like a bubbly blanket over the layers of flavorsome pastrami.
