LOS ANGELES, CA — For nearly eight decades, generations of Angelenos have made Langer’s Deli a dining destination, helping establish its world-famous #19 Pastrami Sandwich as a Los Angeles icon. To thank its loyal customers, Langer’s Deli will celebrate its 79th anniversary on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 with a day-long gift certificate giveaway, for individuals visiting their store at 7^th and Alvarado.

Throughout the day, Langer’s will conduct drawings every 30 minutes beginning at 8:30 am, awarding $100 Langer’s gift certificates, culminating in a grand prize drawing for a $1,000 Langer’s gift certificate at 3:30 p.m. Individuals who come into Langer’s Deli during the Giveaway Period will receive one free entry ticket, limit one entry per person.

“Since my parents opened Langer’s Deli in 1947, our community, our city, and our world have changed in countless ways,” said Norm Langer, owner of Langer’s Deli. “What has never changed is our commitment to serving the highest-quality food and the incredible loyalty of our customers. As we celebrate 79 years in business, we want to thank the people who have made Langer’s a Los Angeles institution.”

Individuals coming to Langer’s Deli on June 17 will receive one entry ticket. Drawings will be held every half hour beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing through 3:00 p.m., with one $100 gift certificate awarded at each drawing. The grand prize drawing for a $1,000 gift certificate will take place at 3:30 p.m. To be eligible to win, individuals must put their name and telephone number on the back of their ticket before placing it in the contest drum.

Langer’s Deli, located at the corner of 7th Street and Alvarado Street in Los Angeles, will be open on June 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Parking will be available in our lot at 7th Street and Westlake Avenue and will be validated.

The Langer’s Deli 79th Anniversary Gift Certificate Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by Langer’s Delicatessen Inc. (“Langer’s Deli”), located at 704 South Alvarado Street, Los Angeles, California 90057.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Giveaway is open to all residents who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees of Langer’s Deli, their immediate family members, and individuals living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

Void where prohibited by law.

3. GIVEAWAY PERIOD

The contest begins on June 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time on June 17, 2026.

4. HOW TO ENTER

Individuals who come into Langer’s Deli during the Giveaway Period will receive one (1) entry ticket.

Limit one (1) entry per person.

All individuals may request a free entry ticket at the host stand during the Giveaway Period. Entry requests must be made in person at Langer’s Deli during the Giveaway Period on June 17, 2026.

All entries must be received during the Giveaway Period to be eligible.

5. PRIZES

The following prizes will be awarded:

• Fourteen (14) gift certificates valued at $100 each, awarded through drawings conducted approximately every thirty (30) minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
• One (1) grand prize gift certificate valued at $1,000, awarded during the approximately 3:30 p.m. drawing.

Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $2,400.

Gift certificates are subject to all terms and conditions applicable to Langer’s Deli gift certificates and may not be redeemed for cash, or used for gratuities, except as required by law.

6. WINNER SELECTION

Winning entries will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to each drawing.

Non-winning entries from earlier drawings will remain eligible for subsequent drawings, including the grand prize drawing.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners will be announced at the time of each drawing.

Winners do not need to be present to win.

If a winner is not present, Langer’s Deli will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner using the information provided on the entry ticket, and the winners names will be posted at LangersDeli.com. If a winner cannot be contacted within thirty (30) days, or is found to be ineligible, Langer’s Deli reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

8. PRIZE CLAIMS

Winners must claim their prize in person at Langer’s Deli at 704 South Alvarado Street, Los Angeles, California 90057, and may be required to present valid identification before receiving their prize.

Prizes must be claimed within sixty (60) days of notification unless otherwise specified by Langer’s Deli.

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS

By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Langer’s Deli, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.

Langer’s Deli reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules.

Langer’s Deli reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway if circumstances beyond its reasonable control compromise the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Giveaway.

10. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Langer’s Deli and its owners, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or damages arising out of participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

11. PUBLICITY RELEASE

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for Langer’s Deli to use the winner’s name, likeness, photograph, city of residence, and statements regarding the Giveaway for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

12. PRIVACY

Any personal information collected in connection with the Giveaway will be used solely for administering the Giveaway and contacting winners and will not be sold to third parties.
